- 1 m lining fabric
- 0.8 m Decovil I light or foam (e.g. Style-Vil) 0.5 m lightweight interfacing
- 70 cm continuous zip (wide) – 25 cm of which is for the zipped pocket and 45 cm for the zip opening.

Optional:
- 1.10 m webbing for the handles, if you don’t want to sew them yourself, in 3 cm or 4 cm width
- 1 metal end cap for the zip
- 4–8 medium-sized rivets or book screws (shank length as required)
- Optional for a shoulder strap: 1.5 m of webbing or homemade webbing for the crossbody version, 3 cm or 4 cm wide
- 2 snap hooks (to match the width of your strap)
